Poker at Casino Davos

Poker is a card game in which the player with the best combination of cards or the strongest nerves wins.

ALL IN!

POKER originally comes from the French game “Poque”. In 1829, French settlers in New Orleans brought this game with them. Poker is much more than a card game. The art is to “read” the other players or simply to bluff well.

The POKERSTARS Poker Lounge is now available at Casino Davos!

The poker game

The cash game poker is played with chips whose value is stated exclusively in CHF. These can be purchased at the designated cash desk or at the gaming tables. The poker variant and the limits are announced at the poker table.

At the poker tables in the HCD Poker Lounge, the official languages are English or German.

It is played with a classic poker deck with 52 cards.

Poker Chips

The chips for cash games at the poker table are the same as the chips for the other table games.

How the game is played

There is a list that lists the ten combinations that determine the order of strength of poker hands. The order of this display is ascending, starting with the combination in the lowest order and ending with the highest

LIMITS

At the beginning of each game, the limits (min-max) and the value of the bets are set by the casino.

The variants of the applicable limits are:

POT LIMIT (Omaha)

Bets vary between the set minimum and maximum of the updated pot. The pot represents the sum of all bets placed before the player whose turn it is.

NO LIMIT

A minimum bet limit is set, but no maximum limit. This is the maximum amount (in chips) available to each player at the time of betting.

RAKE CASH GAME

The rake is collected by the dealer and depends on the table limits.
At the following limits, the dealer takes a 5% deduction from the pot at the end of each hand.

TEXAS HOLD’EM

In Texas Hold’em, each player receives two hole cards (also pocket cards or hand cards). Then a total of five face-up cards are placed in the middle of the table (community cards or community cards).

The aim of the game is to form the highest possible hand with five cards from the two cards in your possession and the five face-up cards in the middle of the table. There are a maximum of nine players at a poker table.

POT-LIMIT OMAHA

Pot Limit Omaha is another well-known poker variant. The special thing about this variant is that each player receives four cards face down and a total of five community cards are placed in the middle of the table.

Players must use a maximum of five cards to form the best possible combination of two of the four hole cards and three of the five community cards. A maximum of nine players can participate at an Omaha table.
