  • language setting;
  • name of your internet service provider;

Where we outsource certain parts of our data processing (e.g. to IT service providers), we contractually require the processor(s) to use personal data only in accordance with the requirements of applicable data protection law and to safeguard the rights of data subjects. We also use IT service providers in the United States, with which we enter into appropriate agreements (in particular, agreements based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) and ensure an adequate level of protection through technical and organisational measures.

Casino Davos is legally required to make the identity of persons subject to a gambling ban available to other casinos in Switzerland. The date on which the ban was imposed, the type of ban and the name of the casino that imposed it are also disclosed. This duty to provide information is fulfilled by storing the information in a central database accessible to all Swiss casinos.

In implementing its social-responsibility programme, Casino Davos works with an addiction-prevention service and a treatment facility (Article 37 VSBG). Personal data is exchanged on a case-by-case basis as part of this cooperation.

In fulfilling their statutory mandate, the commission and the authorities may request access to the data.

6.5. COOKIES

Casino Davos uses cookies on its websites to recognise repeated use of its services by the same user or internet-connection subscriber. Cookies are small text files placed and stored on your computer by your internet browser. They are used to optimise Casino Davos’s website and services. Most are “session cookies”, which are deleted after your visit ends. These cookies are used to make our advertisements more relevant and interesting to you.

Some of these cookies, however, provide information that enables you to be recognised automatically. Such recognition may take place, for example, on the basis of the IP address stored in the cookies.

Necessary (functional and technical) cookies ensure functions without which you cannot use the website as intended. One example is the cookie that stores your consent to the use of cookies requiring consent. The use of these cookies is based on our legitimate interest.

We use analytics cookies to evaluate use of our website. The information obtained enables us to optimise our services and make it easier for you to access the Casino Davos website. The use of analytics cookies is based on your consent.

We also use marketing cookies. The use of marketing cookies is based on your consent.

6.6. COOKIE SETTINGS AND CONSENT

You can configure your preferences and consents via the cookie banner or your browser settings and, for example, reject cookies from other companies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of our websites if you reject cookies.

You can manage the cookie settings you previously selected for our website here

6.7. COOKIES LIST

6.7.1. GOOGLE TAG MANAGER

Our website uses Google Tag Manager. Tag Manager can be used to manage tracking tools and website tags. This service does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. We use Google Analytics and remarketing through Google Tag Manager. Google Tag Manager itself does not collect personal data. Google Tag Manager makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags.

For further information about Google Tag Manager, see: https://www.google.com/intl/en/tagmanager/use-policy.html

6.7.2. WEB ANALYTICS — GOOGLE ANALYTICS 4

To tailor, analyse and improve our website in line with users’ needs, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Google Analytics 4 only sets cookies (see the cookie list in Section 6.7) if you have consented to statistics cookies via our cookie banner. In that case, Google collects information about your use of the website, in particular the pages visited, time spent on the site, interactions, the website from which you reached our site, device type, operating system, browser and your approximate location (country, region, city). Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate use of the website and to compile reports for us.

We use Google Consent Mode (advanced implementation). As long as you have not given your consent, or if you refuse it, no analytics cookies are set. In that case, Google only receives cookieless signals without a user identifier (e.g. consent status, URL visited, technical browser information), which are used to model aggregated statistics.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. For users in Switzerland and the EU, the IP address is used on servers in Europe solely to derive the approximate location and is then immediately discarded.

The data collected may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

The legal basis for setting analytics cookies is your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time, with effect for the future, via the cookie settings (Section 6.6). You can also prevent data collection by Google Analytics by installing Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

6.7.3. META CUSTOM AUDIENCE (META PIXEL)

Our websites use Meta’s visitor-action pixel for conversion measurement. The service is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”).

This allows the behaviour of website visitors to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s relevant website by clicking on a Meta advertisement. This enables the effectiveness of Meta advertisements to be evaluated for statistical and market-research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised.

The data collected is anonymous to us as the operator of these websites; we cannot draw any conclusions about users’ identities. However, the data is stored and processed by Meta, which means that it may be linked to the respective user profile and that Meta may use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with Meta’s Data Use Policy. This may enable Meta to display advertisements on Meta pages and outside Meta. We, as the website operator, cannot influence this use of the data.

Further information on protecting your privacy can be found in Meta’s privacy information: https://about.facebook.com/actions/protecting-privacy-and-security/.

You can also disable the “Custom Audiences” remarketing function in the advertising settings at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. You must be logged in to Facebook to do so.

If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable Facebook’s interest-based advertising on the website of the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
